Confined Access

Confined access refers to working within restricted or difficult-to-reach areas of structures where standard access methods are impractical. This commonly includes voids, plant rooms, service risers, basements, crawl spaces, tanks, and other enclosed areas within commercial buildings, bridges, and infrastructure. At Concrete Insight UK, confined access works are carefully planned and undertaken by trained personnel using appropriate access methods and safety controls. Surveys and investigations are carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations, allowing detailed inspection and testing to be completed safely while minimising disruption to the structure and surrounding environment.

MEWP Access

MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) access is used to safely reach high-level or difficult-to-access areas of concrete and structural elements where ground-based inspection is not possible. This includes soffits, beams, columns, façades, bridge decks, and other elevated locations within commercial buildings and infrastructure. At Concrete Insight UK, MEWP access is planned and undertaken by trained operatives in accordance with current health and safety requirements. Using the appropriate platform type for the task, we are able to carry out close-up inspections, testing, and intrusive works efficiently and safely, ensuring accurate data collection while minimising disruption to site operations.

Mobile Scaffold Tower Access

Mobile scaffold towers provide a stable and adaptable means of accessing elevated concrete and structural elements where fixed access is unavailable. They are commonly used for close-up inspection, testing, and intrusive works to beams, soffits, slabs, and columns within commercial and industrial buildings. At Concrete Insight UK, mobile scaffold towers are erected and used by trained personnel in accordance with current safety standards. Towers are selected to suit the required working height and site constraints, allowing surveys and testing to be undertaken safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to ongoing site activities.

Rope Access

Rope access is a specialist access technique used to reach areas of concrete and structural elements that are difficult or impractical to access using conventional methods. It is commonly employed on façades, bridge structures, tall elevations, and confined or complex environments where minimal disruption and rapid setup are required. At Concrete Insight UK, rope access works are carried out by trained and competent operatives using industry-recognised techniques and safety systems. This method allows close-up inspection, testing, and minor intrusive works to be completed efficiently, reducing the need for extensive scaffolding or plant while maintaining a high level of safety and control.
